For those of you that may not already know me, my name is Larry Guyer. 
I am the former marketing director for Better Light, Inc., the scanning back manufacturer.  After leaving this full-time position, I formed Archetype Imaging with several other Better Light owners that specialized in art reproduction applications.  We continued to work with Better Light owners and others doing art reproduction for artists, museums, or libraries, and offering installation, training and consulting on specialized photographic equipment packages.  My career focus has continually evolved to better serve my past, current and future clients.  I am very excited about the new products and services that we can offer under the umbrella of Archetype Imaging.

Better Light is no longer manufacturing their scanning backs, so we are now importing the new Rencay scanning back from Germany and continue to sell some used Better Light products as well. We have recently assumed the sale of parts and accessories for Better Light and coordinating the service and repair for Better Light scanning backs.

With our emphasis on art reproduction, we are also representing Tarsia Technical Industries. TTI has designed and built high-quality, American-made reprographic workstations for industrial, academic and cultural heritage organizations for over 25 years.

To complete our ability to provide a full turnkey package of photographic equipment we joined the Harwin Camera team and now have access to all of the major camera brands, including PhaseOne, Canon, Nikon, Hasselblad and Sinar, plus a full range of lighting equipment, monitors, studio accessories, ink jet printers and supplies.

Regardless of the products that I have sold over the years, I have always positioned myself as a “personal shopper” for my clients. I take each opportunity very personally and want to provide my customers with the equipment options that are right for their work and comfortable for their budget. And, more importantly, the relationship doesn’t end with the delivery of the equipment.
